Gasol argues with the officials in vain (he may have had a case as replay shows Griffin stuff his left elbow in Gasol's mug).
You don't have to feel bad for Lakers center Pau Gasol.
He makes millions of dollars, been selected to All-Star teams and won NBA championships.
But after Wednesday night's Lakers-Clippers game, you could probably feel a little bad for him.
Gasol joined the ever-growing list of Blake Griffin's "dunkees."
Except it happened to Gasol twice in one game. And they were vicious.
The first was the Clippers' first hoop of the game (video above) as Griffin skies through the lane and throws it down on Gasol's back with two hands.
The second one (video below) is Griffin at his best - attacking the rim off a pick-and-roll and Gasol is victimized while trying to play good help defense.
Gasol argues with the officials in vain (he may have had a case as replay shows Griffin stuff his left elbow in Gasol's mug). At the 49 second mark of the second video, you can see Lakers Andrew Bynum make the face he's making in the photo to the right (via Twitter) in reaction to the dunk.
Poor Pau.
Ouch, man.
We feel your pain.
But learn a lesson from this: Don't jump when you see this kid taking off.
NBA teams playing the Clip pers need to stop playing help defense all together. Someone may get hurt. Or at least more feelings will get hurt.
