Could Darrelle Revis hold out again? He won't rule it out, that's for sure.

Darrelle Revis embraced NFL commissioner Roger Goodell during cocktail hour at the Waldorf Astoria Monday evening, then negotiated his way to the grand ballroom and left the door open for a possible holdout come August.

I just dont know, Revis said before being honored by the Big Brothers B ig Sisters of New York City. Im not saying I am going to hold out. Im not saying Im not.

Revis, 26, is still under contract for the next two seasons, and maintained that he would allow his agents to deal with his contract.

The All-Pro missed 35 days during training camp in 2010, eventually rejoining the Jets after a holdout that involved clandestine meetings in an upstate diner and in South Beach with Revis appearing in public wearing fake dreadlocks. The reworked result was a four-year, $ 46 million deal. At the time, it was believed to be a temporary solution.

Right now, my focus is being on the team, said Revis, who earned $ 32.5 million in the past season. He is scheduled to earn a $ 4.5 million base salary (plus bonuses) in 2012.

Revis approved of the Jets trade for Tim Tebow, but GM Mike Tannebaum stayed mum when asked about Revis last week during a pre-draft press conference.

Darrelle is under contrac t, Tannenbaum said. Darrelle is obviously a really important part of our team. We look forward to the 2012 season and hopefully accomplishing a lot of great things together.

When asked a follow-up question, Tannenbaum turned silent on the topic. I said all Im going to say about his contract, he said.

Revis stood by his earlier statement that the Jets locker room was in disarray by seasons end in January. He applauded Rex Ryan for addressing the issue in the teams first meeting last week, telling them to sweep 2011 under the rug. Revis insisted that the unit was ready to move forward.

There was nothing to sugarcoat, Revis said. There was something going on and everybody knew it. I think that was the result of us having the season that we had. Previous seasons we stuck together no matter what the outcome was Theres nothing wrong with that. We can put it back together as a team.

Whether Revis will be there from Day 1 is yet to be determined.
