Mark Hughes: QPR have managed wins over Arsenal and Liverpool

QPR boss Mark Hughes believes the tide has turned at QPR and his side can secure Premier League football for next season.

The Hoops sit just two points above the drop zone but can travel to Saturday's clash with West Brom in confident mood after seeing off Swansea City 3-0 at home on Wednesday night.

Despite a tough run of games QPR have managed wins over Arsenal and Liverpool as well as a narrow loss to Manchester United, and avoiding the drop would be a career highlight for Hughes.

"Staying up would rank right up there at the top," he told reporters.

Hurdles

"It is difficult, I haven't done it before, coming in halfway thro ugh a season.

"There is a feeling, not only in the team but in the club as well, that there are people involved that are trying to drive it in the right direction.

"We have overcome a number of the hurdles that people would have expected us to succumb to.

"We are on a high and we have probably over-achieved from 10 games to go up to this point. But there is a lot more that we need to do before we can say we can stay in the league."
