Jack Wilshere: Arsenal midfielder is gutted he will not be available for England's Euro 2012 challenge
Jack Wilshere admits he is 'gutted and devastated' after being ruled out of the rest of Arsenal's season and England's Euro 2012 challenge.
The midfielder has not played for Arsenal this season due to an ankle injury, but Arsenal were hoping the 20-year-old would return before the end of the campaign.
However, Arsene Wenger confirmed after the Gunners' 2-1 home defeat by Wigan Athletic on Monday night that Wilshere would not be able to play any part until next season.
Wenger has also ruled out the possibility of Wilshere representing Team GB at the Olympics following suggestions he could have been included in the squad to build up his match fitness.
"Gutted, sad, devastated..its been a test mentally for me this season and it will continue to be tough until I am back out on the pitch."
