Rick Santorum is planning to spend today off the campaign trail to be with his youngest daughter, Bella.
The Santorum campaign announced over the weekend that the GOP presidential candidate would spend time with his wife and 3-year-old daughter, who was hospitalized Friday. Isabella Santorum, known as Bella, ha s trisomy 18 -- a rare genetic disorder that is typically fatal.
"The entire Santorum family is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of prayers and support," said Hogan Gidley, Santorum's communications director.
It is the second time that Santorum has come off the trail to deal with Bella's health. The former Pennsylvania has talked about how his daughter wasn't given much chance to live past her first birthday.
