Nigel Reo-Coker: Not happy with Fulham defeat
Nigel Reo-Coker says lethargy was to blame for Bolton's poor showing against Fulham at the weekend.
Fulham out-classed Bolton at the Reebok with a 3-0 win, which ended a three-match winning streak for Owen Coyle's side.
The Trotters now travel to Newcastle just one point and one place above the drop-zone.
"We let ourselves down," said skipper Reo-Coker.
"But that doesn't mean we are going to continue in the same vein.
"However, we didn't give a true account of ourselves. We have been focussed and determined to get ourselves out of the situation we are in.
"Events of the past three weeks have helped us to get together as a group. But against Fulham we were lethargic.
"I have played football for many years and I have experienced games like that before.
"You could see from the start we lacked that bit of spark. That little bit of belief.
"It has put more pressure on the game at Newcastle but let this be a wake-up call to us."
