The brother of the president of Kazakhstan claims in a lawsuit that his ex-wife and her son stole three Manhattan apartments from him including a $ 20 million condo at The Plaza hotel.

Bolat Nazarbayev, brother of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, charged in a Manhattan Supreme Court suit that the mother and son used his money to buy the posh pad after tricking him into giving them power of attorney.

He also accused his ex-wife, Maira, a fugitive wanted by Interpol for kidnapping, of conspiring with her son, Daniyar Nazarbayev, to rip him off.

Bolat had no reason to believe that Maira and her son, Daniyar, were scheming to exploit Bolats trust and confidence, the suit, filed late Wednesday claims.

Bolat and Maira Nazarbayev divorced in 2009.

Bolat claims he didnt discover until a few months ago that she and her son had been swindling him since 2008.

The suit charges that in February 2008, Bolats then wife and stepson persuaded him to sign a document, claiming it was to register The Plaza condo and help him avoid a trip to the U.S. from Kazakhstan.

To his surprise, the fraudulent document enabled the mother and son to exercise power of attorney on his behalf.

The suit also a ccuses Daniyar of using his stepfathers money to buy two downtown apartments.
