Good morning from The Oval, on a day when President Obama celebrates a sports champion and raises more money.

After a string of meetings with advisers, Obama speaks at a ceremony for the college football champions, the University of Alabama Crimson Tide.

Is the Tide's second White House visit in three years.

"The president will also continue his tradition of honoring sports teams for their efforts both on and off the field by recognizin g the efforts by the Crimson Tide to give back to their community," says the White House.

Later this afternoon, Obama attends a campaign fundraising event in Washington, D.C.

The White House also awaits further developments in the Secret Service prostitution scandal. As USA TODAY reported, the Service said that three employees are are leaving the agency over last week's incident in Colombia.
