David Moyes: The Everton manager will not discuss referees ahead of Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Liverpool

Everton boss David Moyes has vowed not to get 'embroiled' in a row over referees ahead of the FA Cup semi-final with rivals Liverpool.

The Merseyside clubs meet at Wembley on Saturday with a chance to reach the final to face either Chelsea or Tottenham.

Reds manager Kenny Dalglish has recently complained about officials and suggested that there could be a conspiracy against his side.

Howard Webb will be the man in the middle for their meeting with the Toffees, having received criticism from Dalglish in a game against Manchester United last season.

But Moyes is refusing to discuss referees ahead of the game and insists his side will not blame anyone should they fail to progress.

Not arguing

He said: "We are not arguing with the referees at Everton. We've had bad decisions here and have to take them on the chin.

"But I've not made too big a fuss of it. I've not called referees' chief Mike Riley or spoken to him. We have to go with the integrity of the referee, which we will do.

"We are not going to be embroiled in that. We will go with the referee on the day and we will trust his judgment.

"No doubt I will be shouting if things do not go right but that's what you do if you are a manager."

Improving

Meanwhile, Moyes has praised his side's recent form which has yielded four wins in their last five games in all competitions.

It is in stark contrast to Liverpool's recent run of results, with the Reds picking up their first win in five games against Blackburn on T uesday.

Moyes said: "We are delighted with our current form. We are playing well and goals are coming from everywhere.

"I see the players improving week-in, week-out and that can only be a good thing at the moment."
