Jets' Scott has a change of Bart on Gang Green

Bart Scott will be back with the Jets next season, saying he's 'committed' to Gang Green at NFL Shop in Manhattan.

Bart Scott cant wait to get back to work with Rex Ryan and the Jets.

Me and Rex had a powwow, Scott said Friday after an autograph signing at the NFL Shop at Draft store in Manhattan. The veteran linebacker said he ran into Ryan about a month ago. I think were on the same page. We ironed some things out. Were fine. Im committed.

After Scott and the Jets struggled to an 8-8 season last year, his agent met with the Jets at t he scouting combine in February to explore possible trade options. Upon meeting with Ryan, however, it seems Scott is completely dedicated to his boisterous head coach.

At the NFL meetings on March 27, Ryan said he expected the linebacker to be back with the Jets next season. Friday night Scott confirmed that he will be back with the Jets. He and Ryan have smoothed things over and Scott says hes in 100,000.

The only reason I came here is because of (Ryan), Scott said. I was in a great place (Baltimore), but I came here because of my belief and trust in him. For me thats still strong my commitment to him and his commitment to me. (Thats) first, then the Jets come second. I came here because I believe in the man and that didnt matter what team he was with.

Scott, 31, will be with the Jets when they begin offseason workouts on Monday.
