Good Samaritans chased a Queens hit-and-run driver and boxed him in with their cars so cops could grab him, prosecutors s aid Tuesday.
Ian Glasgow, 59, of St. Albans, fled the scene leaving a 50-year-old pedestrian clinging to life because he had tossed back brews before taking the wheel, prosecutors said.
He struck victim Clifford Bishundat at Woodhaven Blvd. and Jamaica Ave. about 7 p.m. Monday.
Bishundat, of Woodhaven, was crossing outside the crosswalk and against the light.
He remains in critical condition.
I had two pints of Guinness and I panicked, thats why I left, Glasgow said after his arrest, according to the criminal complaint.
He was ordered held on $ 25,000 bail at his arraignment Tuesday.
Glasgow had a 0.04 blood alcohol level below the legal limit and was charged with one count of leaving the scene and failing to report an accident, a felony.
