It's another boy for country singer Mindy McCready -- and the birth of her second son, Zayne, comes a week before McCready's former paramour Roger Clemens is set to go to trial on perjury and obstruction of Congress charges in Washingt on.

McCready welcomed her son on April 9, and through her publicist, Kat Atwood, said that it "was a long and trying pregnancy." The father is music producer David Wilson, whom McCready has been involved with for over two years. The 36-year-old McCready has another son, Zander, with former boyfriend Billy McKnight.

Last fall, McCready fled with Zander to Arkansas while pregnant and reportedly hid from authorities in a closet. McCready is involved in a years-long custody dispute over Zander with her biological mother, Gayle Inge.

At the time, McCready was reported to be carrying twins. Atwood confirmed to the Daily News Thursday that considering McCready's size last fall, "Mindy was certain" she was pregnant with twins, and that a "misinterpreted sonogram seemed to support her feelings and excitement."

Four years ago McCready confirmed to The News a long-standing affair she had with the married Rocket, a father of four. McCready was interviewed later that spring in 2008 by the FBI in conjunction with the federal investigation of Clemens. She was not part of the government's witness list last summer when Clemens went to trial the first time.
