Devils goalie Martin Brodeur is only focused on Game 6, not his expiring contract.

Martin Brodeur is not worried that Tuesday night might be his last NHL game in New Jersey. The Devils 39-year-old future Hall of Fame goaltender just does not want it to be the last game of this season.

Tuesday in Game 6 at the Prudential Center, Brodeur and the sixth-seeded Devils will try to stave off the No. Panthers and elimination in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.

Career-wise, I dont think itll be the last, but I dont know opportunity-wise," said Brodeur, who is in the last year of his contract. If I do come back, who knows if well be in this position again. Its in the back of my head the opportunity we have with a team I really enjoyed playing with this year."

In 18 seasons, Brodeur has led the Devils to three Stanley Cups, and holds the NHL records for wins by a goaltender and shut outs.

The Devils will need two straight wins to avoid a first-round elimination for the fourth straight time. They have not won back-to-back playoff games since 2006, the last time they won a playoff series.

Brodeur is not the Devils only question for next season. Captain Zach Parise will be an unrestricted free agent.

Unlike Brodeur, he is not even letting thoughts of his future enter his mind going into Tuesday.

Ive blocked it out, Parise said. I dont want to talk about it."
