Police investigate scene of store holdup on April 12, 2012.
A teen wanted in the botched robbery of an East Harlem pharmacy was nabbed in Rhode Island Tuesday, almost two weeks after his alleged accomplice was killed by a retired cop during the heist, police said.
Luis Hiraldo, 19, was picked up by a team of U.S. marshals and officers from the NYPDs violent felony squad, police sources said.
It was not immediately clear where Hiraldo had been hiding.
Hiraldo allegedly held up the RX Center Pharmacy on First Ave. with his cohort Wyatt Rudolph, 24, about 11 a.m. on April 12, cops said.
Three officers responded to the scene near E. 119th St. after an employee set off a silent alarm, cops said.
Hiraldo walked out and was taken into custody, but ran away when an armed Rudolph stepped out and tried to fire at the officers, police said.
Retired Lt. Thomas Barnes was pumping gas across the street and saw Rudolph running toward him and aiming a pistol at the officers.
Sources said Barnes fired and, from 55 feet away, fatally struck Rudolph who cops said was a suspect in four previous pharmacy holdups and a shooting in Georgia.
Hiraldo was being held in Rhode Island, awaiting extradition to New York.
