Kate Upton's bikini boogiing was yanked, and then restored, by YouTube.
YouTube tried to show Kate Upton who her daddy was, but ended up crying uncle.
After abruptly yanking the 2012 Sport Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girls provocative and popular Cat Daddy dance clip on Wednesday morning, the video-sharing website apparently realized it was doing the world a huge disservice. It reinstated the clip later that day.
A source close to the 36-25-34 Upton says the blond bombshell was perplexed by YouTubes decision to pull the clip because her bouncy boogieing in a red string bikini supposedly violated the websites rules on nudity and sexual content.
According to the insider, the 19-year-old Upton, who doesnt suffer so much as a nip slip in the video, found the decision completely silly.
She couldnt believe it, said the source, who said Upton couldnt understand why her dancing to the Rej2ctz track Cat Daddy in a bathing suit similar to what she wore Sports Illustrateds cover would be banned .
The source said Upton felt there are lots of other videos on YouTube that are much more salacious.
YouTube officials eventually reached the same conclusion.
With the massive volume of videos on our site, sometimes we make the wrong call, said a spokeswoman for the site.
When its brought to our attention that a video has been removed mistakenly, we act quickly to reinstate it.
Thank heavens for that.
The video, shot by photographer Terry Richardson , racked up almost 750,000 views in less than 24 hours before being pulled from the site.
A source close to YouTube calls the decision to pull the Cat Daddy clip a mistake, and notes that when site managers realized theyd sparked an angry tempest in a D cup with her ample fan base, they reposted the clip that afternoon.
The brief coverup ended up being good for business. Less than two hours after YouTube reinstated the clip without any announcement, Uptons undulating had racked up another 200,000 hits.
Cat Daddy also got more exposure by being uploaded to the Vimeo site during the temporary ban by its rival.
Florida native Upton was clearly proud of her dance video. After Richardson first put the short on his site, she tweeted a link to the clip, writing, MY Cat Daddy!!! .... haha.
At the end of her booty-shaking dance, Upton grabs her breasts and says to the camera: Thats it. Thats all youre going to see. Get out of here.
Its not the bikini babes first viral video dance hit. A 2011 clip of the stunner doing the Dougie at a Clippers game has notched 5.4 million views to date.
