Children under 12 years old can bowl for free during 300 New York's annual Kids Fest on May 6th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The 40-lane Chelsea Piers bowling alley opens its doors to city children Sunday for a free annual Kids Fest.
With summer approaching, parents are constantly hunt for activities to keep their little ones occupied.
Nick Scaccio, who runs the 300 New York, says of the alley, Our business changes pretty dramatically over the summer. Kids arent at school, and more families come in during the daytime.
As part of the 300 New Yorks Kids Club program, children 12 and under are treated to two free games of bowling and shoe rental every weekday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for the entire summer.
And at this Sundays festival, kids get to bowl free 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on a first-come, first-served basis, one game per child.
The high-end bowling alley, which holds close to 700 guests, has catered to Michelle Obama and the New York Knicks, but is now rolling out the red carpet for families.
Bowling rates are normally $ 9.25 per person per game, but during Sundays Kids Fest everyone can play for free while getting bonus on-the-lane instruction from 300s expert coaches.
The party goes beyond bowling.
There will be samples of the kids catering and birthday party menus like pizza, hamburgers, chicken tenders mostly finger kiddy foods, says Scaccio.
Complimentary game cards will be handed out for the newly renovated Game On amusement room, which features more than 30 arcade games and a redemption area full of prizes.
If gaming isnt your style, raffles, giveaways and food samples from local vendors like The Tiny Cupcake keep guests of all ages entertained.
The Brooklyn Cyclones will be there and were going to have a balloon artist, someone doing caricatures, face- painters and magicians, says Scaccio.

Were family-friendly and family-oriented, says Scaccio. This is a huge part of what we do. We gear most of what we do to families and catering to them.
