Jaleel White's turn on the dance floor, where he did a stiffly executed Viennese waltz, was also greeted with a lukewarm-at-best reception. 'I like it enough,' head judge Len Goodman remarked dismissively. 'There was an airy fairy feel, but no real footwork.'

Tuesday nights elimination on Dancing With the Stars came down to a dance duel between former child TV star Jaleel White and current Disney Channel star Roshon Fegan - but in the end, it was out with the old, in with the new.

White was ousted during the seventh week of the competition after he and Fegan performed simultaneous rumbas in an effort to stake their claim to a spot in the ballroom. In the end, however, though the judges hemmed and hawed, all three opted to save enthusiastic Fegan from elimination, leaving White out to dry in the cruel duel, as head judge Len Goodman called it. White, who danced off against Motown legend Gladys Knight just last week, took his elimination with class and humility. Im going to tell you a secret, he announced to the audience upon his elimination. I really only thought I would last three dances in this competition. So to get this far, and Ive made incredible friends, the fans have been incredible - I love Roshon Fegan, Im happy they saved him. Eliminated contestant Gavin DeGraw also returned for a portion of the night to perform new hit Sweeter. Fegan will face off against remaining contestants Maria Menounos, William Levy, Katherine Jenkins, Melissa Gilbert and Donald Driver next week. jchen@nydailynews.com
